A WORKING CITY (THE WAY WE WORK)

BEN / NATALIE, ARCADIS

The world of work is in transition.

Are you ready?

Past generations found a company to work for and then stayed there for decades. But today, we rarely stay in the same job (let alone on the same career path) and we don't rely on a single income stream.

THE RISE OF INDUSTRY 5.0

BEN / NATALIE, ARCADIS

The development, convergence and application of increasingly automated and autonomous technologies based on big data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are driving a new industrial revolution. For companies adopting these approaches it would ensure not only survival, but market leadership. Robotics and AI were once considered futuristic technologies, but the supply chain is full of their many applications.

From back office automation and autonomous forklifts that move warehouse inventory to tracking the same goods across the entire supply chain, robotics and automation will become an integral part of a more predictive – and productive - future. As Industry 5.0 moves towards a collaborative human-machine (cobots) workforce, we can expect to see new opportunities for diverging and upskilling talent.
