Three Chamberlain Square Site Visit
This June, we join MEPC to go behind the scenes on the latest commercial building at Paradise - Three Chamberlain Square.
An onsite visit will include hearing from two of the key individuals delivering this landmark building and a chance to immerse yourself in the new reception space through a few available VR stations.
Alex Housden, Development Manager at MEPC, and Chris Hucknall, Project Manager at contractor Sir Robert McAlpine, will be giving details about this latest chapter in the compelling story of Paradise.
Alex will contribute his thoughts as developer and reflect on the priorities for Three Chamberlain Square and is unique design cues, while Chris will talk through the specific challenges – and rewards – of building such a ground-breaking new commercial space for Birmingham.
Already bestowed with major industry accreditations like BREEAM Outstanding and NABERS 5* at design stage, Three Chamberlain Square is set to become the city’s most sustainable building having been created with a low carbon low energy ethos.
The building is nearing its final stages of construction and is at a key milestone in its development phase with this event forming part of its wider topping out celebrations.

The Energy Accelerator building is focused on delivering energy research focused laboratories with a focus on reducing embodied carbon and energy in use. Focus on selection of materials and framing solutions, and energy efficiency in design. The building is also a smart-enabled building that can evolve with technology and provide both research potential within the building, and more outwardly for the whole campus. Works are expected to start on site later this year with completion in 2026.

As occupiers demand more from their workplace, the requirements of commercial buildings have shifted, and we now find workplaces close to homes, greenspace and places of entertainment so they provide the ultimate convenience for their occupiers. This September 27th, the team behind Octagon the world's first pure octagonal high-rise residential building joins Building Brum to give you a project update on the highly anticipated Paradise Birmingham development: Octagon.
