Cadence Projects share the first images of the new MasterChef development

The BBC's flagship television show, MasterChef, will relocate to Digbeth and into the Grade II* listed Banana Warehouse in 2024.

The project is now in planning ahead of a start on site next year. The canal-side building, a historical gem dating back to 1840, will be refurbished and extended to deliver pre-production, filming, and post-production spaces. This will include a main stage, a contestants' room, critics' dining, offices, and support spaces, e.g. prep-kitchen & meeting rooms.

Mike Lally, Managing Director of Cadence Projects “It has been a fantastic effort from all of the team to get this scheme into planning, working with the MasterChef production team, Stanhope PLCBirmingham City Council and the project design team including K4 ArchitectsRambollCore Five LLPAllies and Morrison and Avison Young │UK to develop a sensitive but exciting new development in such a significant historic location has been a real pleasure.
