As part of the Our Future City Plan engagement, Birmingham City Council are hosting a range of webinars to discuss our vision for Central Birmingham in relation to current social, environmental and economical challenges.

Celebrating our Unique Identity - Thursday 11th March - 10am

Looking ahead to 2040, Birmingham City Council (BCC) aims to become a #CityofLayers. Join BCC for an open discussion on how Birmingham can showcase its unique identity and promote its heritage, creativity, diverse range of arts and cultural assets. This webinar will also explore how we can support growth, employment and other opportunities that enrich the lives of Birmingham’s residents.

Jez Collins, Founding Director of the Birmingham Music Archive.

Jez is a creative and cultural consultant, as well as an independent researcher and founding director of the Birmingham Music Archive.

Symon Easton, Head of Cultural Development for Birmingham City Council.

Symon represents Birmingham on the Core Cities and Eurocities Cultural Officers network and has commissioned art projects from local arts organisations in communities across the city.

Jo Capper, Artist and Collaborative Programme Curator at Grand Union Artist

Through the Collaborative Programme, Jo has been using its cultural capital to support and create visible platforms for critically thinking and engaging across sectors and disciplines: proactively responding to urgent issues surrounding social and ecological justice

Aftab Rahman, Director at Legacy WM.

After is the founding director of Legacy WM, a charity that aims are to explore heritage and use creative means to share them.

Deborah Broomfield, Senior Development and Project Officer.

Deborah is knowledgeable in planning and engagement, and is currently completing a Professional Doctorate (PhD) in Planning at Leeds Beckett University.
