HBD secures planning permsion for Neighbourhood development

HBD was awarded planning permission by Birmingham City Council this week for their latest Jewellery Quarter development “Neighbourhood”, designed by BPN Architects.

Neighbourhood is HBD's vision for a new £140m residential scheme in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, filled with 414 high-quality, design-led apartments - ranging one, two and three-bedroom properties, as well as a double-height winter garden, social spaces, a gym and lounge, work from home areas and a concierge.

Director of Development Simon Raiye says Neighbourhood “is a really exciting scheme for the Jewellery Quarter”, adding that it will create “a vibrant new community and a new urban garden for everyone to visit and enjoy. We can’t wait to get started and see the scheme begin to take shape next year.”

Head of Urban Regeneration Adam Brady says that Neighbourhood “fits into our strategy of creating thoughtfully designed and sustainable communities. We work hard to deliver a positive impact on the communities where we work, providing a lasting-legacy for the area.”

Neighbourhood aims to start on site early next year, and to be completed by 2026.
