National focus on Levelling Up Birmingham hosted by Building Brum partners BECG

Building Brum’s strategic communications partner BECG is set to host the largest gathering of national politicians, industry leaders and local decision makers in the heart of Birmingham later this July.

The joint event with the West Midlands Forum and the new APPG for Levelling Up Birmingham will see Shadow Cabinet Member Lisa Nandy MP, West Midlands Mayor Andy Street and Leader of Birmingham City Council, Councillor Ian Ward, come together with over 150 senior politicians and industry leaders at Birmingham Library.

The Levelling Up agenda is at the heart of the Government’s plan for investment and growth. Birmingham leaders are spearheading the charge to ensure that the city is at the centre of Government thinking, given the huge opportunities across the region to make this a ‘Golden decade of growth’.

Adam Farrell, who heads up BECG’s Birmingham team, said: “We’re delighted to be co-hosting this exciting event. It has never been more important to bring politicians and industry leaders together to make a clear and compelling case to Government that Birmingham and the West Midlands must be at the heart of the plans to level up the UK.

“Delivering the jobs, homes and infrastructure needed in the region will only happen if government and the private sector are working together. This event provides a unique opportunity to hear from a cross-party group of politicians and to network with people from across the business community of Birmingham.”

The invitation only event is taking place on Thursday 14th Jul 2022 between 17:30 and 20:30 on the Terrace of Birmingham Library, overlooking the city skyline.

BECG is a specialist communications agency working across the built environment, supporting client’s engagement with politicians, stakeholders, and the local community to secure the best possible developments that deliver new homes, jobs, and growth for the economy.
