Planning Green-light for One Eastside

A new beacon for the city. One Eastside, a £100 million regeneration project in the heart of Birmingham city centre has been successfully reapproved by Birmingham City Council Planning Committee.

A family of two towers, the tallest standing at a height of 51 stories, One East Side will re-define Birmingham’s skyline as its tallest habitable building on completion, a true symbol of the drive and energy surrounding the UK’s second city.

Across both towers the development provides 667 high quality city centre homes alongside a host of residential amenity spaces, ranging from flexible work spaces, gyms, a cinema and Birmingham’s highest bar, sky lounge and terrace. A considered landscape proposal has also been designed providing court and garden spaces for resident’s wellbeing.

Referencing many of Birmingham’s notable examples of well-crafted, singular material Victorian facades, One East Side echoes this purity of architectural expression with its white modernist fluted appearance.

One East Side’s central city location benefits from exceptional local amenities and strong transport links to the wider West Midlands and the capital via the nearby HS2 terminal at Curzon Street. These factors will combine to make this one of the region’s most desirable places to live.
