Building Brum go onsite with construction partners Sunbelt Rentals

Building Brum launches a new partnership with Sunbelt Rentals - focusing on developments taking place across the Midlands. The role Sunbelt Rentals plays within major schemes such as HS2 and the Perry Barr Redevelopment puts them at the heart of some of the most influential projects taking place in the region.

The Sunbelt Rentals team is passionate about creating social value – it is on a mission to help demystify eco solutions, reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality and help contractors to win work. It is also here to support colleges and community groups through programmes such as the Construction Gateway, helping local people into skills training, jobs and apprenticeships.

We will join Sunbelt Rentals on-site across developments under construction throughout the region. There will be fascinating interviews with Project Managers, Project Directors and the Architects behind the vision for these schemes, as well as some of the community members who are looking to work in the sector for the first time. Each quarter we will hear from the teams leading these key developments, looking at the construction lifecycle, the sustainable options available and how they are changing the way we work on-site.

“This is a really exciting time for our industry - and we want to engage with as many projects as possible, to help share the innovations and benefits that we know can help create efficiencies on site as well as improve the health of local people. The pandemic has meant that we have all become more socially responsible, and we want to help play our part in achieving a step change in creating a new normal.”

“The partnership between Building Brum and Sunbelt Rentals is of great strategic value to the series. With Sunbelt Rentals connected to so many developments across Birmingham and across the country as a whole, they have much best practice to share that we can all learn from. We will build on the great stories already told within the series and reach even more people who can share their construction stories.”
